Main Lobby
980 Rock Avenue San Jose, CA
Michelle from National Business Furniture reached out to me about doing a quick turnaround 3D model of SuperMicro’s Main Lobby in San Jose. After discussing the details and timeline for the project a full 3D model and rendering was not cost or time effective. We settled on rough CAD’s with a colored overlay which fit their 2 week timeline and budget.
This rough floor plan was given to my team for reference, I also traveled on site to see finises colors and lighting that was used along with the large floor to ceiling windows.
Furniture types were pre selected, including a custom desk (below). The amount and placement was up to our team. We proceeded to make rough undetailed versions of the furniture and proceed to place them around the open floor plan.

Due to timing, we moved to final designs with very little resistance, these are path Photoshop renderings over the 3D CADs.

Lobby 3
Roughly a year after the first project, I was reach out to directly by SuperMicro for another lobby layout. This one was much smaller and needed a faster turn around. It featured a “moveable” wall that could help delineate the open office space behind the reception. Similar style furniture was used to keep the lobbies consistent in style. .
We agreed that I would deliver quick hand sketches for them to review in a one week time.
